About the Inkeepers

Years ago, Al and Natalie dreamed of easing out of the hustle and bustle of suburban life into a quieter town with a bit more character. Once their four children had each made their way to college, they knew their opportunity to relocate was at hand. It helped that an historic house they had their eye on had just popped onto the market. It was six years ago when they decided to settle into Strasburg, Ohio and become proud bed and breakfast owners.

Now, Al and Natalie have been married for almost 33 years years—these were spent in New Jersey, Michigan and, finally, Ohio. Although, with a three sons and a daughter to raise, 33 years felt like significantly more time. Add two grandchildren on top of that, and they’re really starting to notice that so much time has gone by together.

When the Clines came to Ohio Al was working as an insurance salesman and Natalie as a stay-at-home mom, youth director and crafting aficionado. Time went by and neither were truly satisfied with their careers, so they decided to make a change. Within a few years, both had gone back to school, studied and graduated to become nurses. Al has since retired, but Natalie still works at Alliance Community Hospital as an RN.

Perhaps their caring nature, which led them to pursue their nursing professions, lends itself to their enjoyment of nurturing and pampering their guests.

  1. My husband and I recently enjoyed a lovely stay at The Garver House B and B. We enjoyed the city of Zoar and hiking beautiful trails. The hosts provided delicious breakfasts, excellent company and interesting information. We’d love to return.
