Revolution on the Tuscarawas, Encampment & Re-enactment

Fort Laurens, Ohio’s only Revoluntionary War Fort presents a Revoluntionary Experience. July 13th-14, 2013 10am-5pm  Featuring artillery demonstration, camp life demonstrations, two mock battles, music, childrens games and much more.  A special ceremony will be held at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider of the American Revolution.  Tour the museum, walk the grounds, stroll on the Ohio and Erie Canal Corridor towpath.

Fort Laurens houses the museum, beautiful grounds with two picnic shelters and a trail head for the Ohio/Erie Canal Towpath Trail.  Currently under construction is a new rest area with flush toilets!  Visit the museum and watch the movie, learn the history of the fort and check on the updated progress for the plans on re-building of the actual fort.

The museum is open May 1st  through October 31st  Wednesday through Saturday 10am-5pm.  Sundays and holidays 12pm-5pm. with special events on-going each month including a winter encampment in November.  Join in on the excitement as we move forward to re-build the fort!  For more information on Fort Laurens and special events.             Go to: or

Admission for the Revolutionary Experience is: Adults $7.00  Children 5-14 $3.00  Two day admission is available. Regular admission on non-event days are:  Adults $3.00 and children 5-7 $2.00.  Children under 5 free and Military Personnel with ID Free.  The fort is located at 11067 Fort Laurens Road, Bolivar, Ohio.
